Luke 6:38 says to give and it shall be given unto you good measure pressed down and shaken together and running over shall men give into your bosom, for with the same measure that you mete it shall be measured unto you again
Friend may I tell you that God will never never be indebted to us because every time we give for his purposes and plans in the earth he promises that it will be returned to us. Notice Proverbs 19:17 which says he that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord, and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Many times we may compare God with people and become hesitant to give because of past financially disappointments by someone we trusted. We can tend to place God in that same category, but he is not a man that he should lie or the son of man that he should repent (change his mind). So what does this all mean? it means you and I can trust and rely on his word! What leaves our hand for him will never leave our lives, but it will come back at the right place and time when we need it the most. It is also important to recognize how God returns the money back to us. It will come from the hands of people, so if you are a person who finds it hard to receive from others...you will miss your payback. Giving also positions one to receive so they can give, so they can receive again making giving and receiving a perpetual cycle that never stops in a persons life. God also looks at our motives for giving and those motives should never be just to receive back. Love is the measuring stick that measures our motives for giving because it is God's reason for it. John 3:16 says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.
